President/CEO
Rex Ferry, a 1969 graduate of Leavittsburg High School, completed a four-year IBEW Apprenticeship program with Local 573 in Warren, OH. Rex worked as General Foreman/Journeyman Wireman on various projects in the electrical industry. Rex's business background (as he would describe it) comes from the "School of Hard Knocks" and attending many NECA Management Seminars.
In 1988, Rex joined Valley Electrical as Partner and Vice President. Two years later he purchased the company, which services all phases of the electrical industry: Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Technology, Design/Build, and a 24hour emergency Service Department. In 2001, Rex was involved with the start up of VEC Systems, Inc, a commercial roofing company that was sold in 2006. The same year, Rex started VEC Systems Integrator, the technology division of Valley Electrical. Rex acquired Evets Electric, Inc, an electrical contractor specializing in the natural gas industry, in 2003. Today Valley Electrical Consolidated is a successful, growing contractor.
Rex belongs to the Mahoning Valley Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). He has served as National Vice President District II of NECA and is serving as the NECA President for 2009 thru 2011. Rex serves on several national and local committees including Management Executive Institute / NECA, NECA's Electrical International Council, Mahoning Valley Chapter NECA, Board Member, Huntington National Bank's Mahoning Region Board Member, Youngstown State University Foundation Board Member, Alzheimers Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter Board Member, Valley Electrical Consolidated, Inc. Chairman of the Board, and various local charity boards including Goodwill, New Life Maternity Home and United Way.
Rex has been married to Mary Haney, his high school sweetheart for 39 years and has two daughters and a son-in-law who are all involved in the company: Tricia Ferry, Service Department for VEC; Rachel Barber, Accounts Receivable Mgr. for VEC; Jeff Barber, VP of Systems Integrator / Technology Division for VEC. In his spare time, Rex enjoys travelling with his wife Mary, playing golf and spending time with his three grandchildren: Elizabeth, Madison and Nathan.

COO
Chris Jaskiewicz joined Valley Electrical in January 1995. He began his career as an AutoCAD draftsman and has advanced in the company through several positions including estimator, project manager, and division manager. In 2003, Valley Electrical purchased Evets Electric. Chris was promoted to Operations Manager for Evets. He currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer for Valley Electrical and Evets Electric.
Chris earned a Bachelor Degree from Youngstown State University, where he majored in Electrical Engineering Technology. He is involved with OSHA 30 Training, is the NECA Representative for Evets Electric, is a member of the Mahoning Valley 20/30 Club and its Finance Committee, is involved as a Lector and Choir Member at St Pius X Catholic Church and is the Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament Director for St Pius X Festival. Chris's hobbies include golf, swimming, travel, bocce, softball and music.

Vice President of Systems Integrator
Jeff Barber joined Valley Electrical Consolidated Inc. in August 2001. Jeff is currently Vice President of Systems Integrator. He was tasked with the start up of the Systems Integrators Division of VEC in 2001. Jeff served in the United States Marine Corps from 1990 to 1999 where he attended school for aircraft electronics. Jeff was a member of the Navy/Marine Corps Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team from 1995 to 1999. From the military, he moved briefly to Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah GA before returning to the Mahoning Valley area.
Jeff obtained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Professional Aeronautics and an Associate's Degree in Aircraft Safety. His professional certifications include: Registered Communication Distribution Designer, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, OSHA 30 Hour, Hubbell Certified Installer, Panduit Certified Installer, Leviton Certified Installer, Pelco CCTV Certificate, Vicon CCTV Certificate, Blonder Tongue Certificate, Cisco Certification, 3Com NBX Certified and Peerless Mount Safety Certified.
Jeff is a member of the Mahoning Valley Chapter of NECA and of BISCI, and is the chairman of IBEW Local 573 Pension Committee.

Vice President, Sales and Business Development
Jason Krieg joined Valley Electrical in December 2002. He began his career with VEC as an engineering intern and estimator while attending Youngstown State University. After graduating from YSU with a Bachelors of Engineering in Electrical Engineering he was promoted to project manager and managed many successful hydrant fuel system and compressor station installations. Jason currently holds the position of Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Valley Electrical and Evets Electric.
Prior to employment at VEC, Jason attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Columbus, Ohio, where he studied in the Electrical Engineering Technology program. He also attended and graduated from the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School Electricity Program. Jason has many years of experience in the agricultural industry from his experiences while growing up on a family dairy farm.
Jason serves as an advisory board member for the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School Electricity program and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). Jason’s hobbies include golf, snowboarding and travel.

Controller
Brenda Spencer joined Valley Electrical Consolidated, Inc. from September of 1992 to December of 1999 and again in June of 2008. Brenda has held several positions in the company including Accounts Payable, Payroll, Job Costing and Controller.
Brenda earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration at Youngstown State University where she majored in Accounting. She was formerly a CPA with a local accounting firm in Warren, Ohio. She is a member of the Higher Praise Covenant Church. Brenda’s hobbies include travel, reading and spending time with her niece Deanna.

| | Tricia Ferry
Human Resource Manager
Tricia Ferry joined VEC full time in 1996 as administrative support. In past years, she has experienced several positions within the company from Accounts Payable Mgr, Business and Development/Marketing, Service Department Coordinator and currently holds the Human Resource Manager position. She is currently working towards her Senior Professional Human Resource (SPHR) certification.
Tricia is a company Board of Director, an Executive Committee member, a National Electrical Contractors Association's(NECA) Executive Management Institute(EMI) graduate, a member of NECAs Future Leaders Programs, a member of NECAs Women Peer Group and a member of the Western Reserve Chapter of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Tricia's involvement with the community includes the Beatitude House, The American Heart Association and the annual Mahoning Valley United Way Day of Caring. She is involved with the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber events and the Mahoning Valley Safety Council sessions. Tricia recently inspired a VEC Ladies Roundtable Group to develop, a program that offers women of the company resources, both on a personal and professional level.
She has a daughter, Madison, who keeps them busy traveling as a regional & national competitive dancer. Tricia is a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and her hobbies include traveling, music, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

| | Rachel Barber
Account Receivables Manager
Rachel Barber was welcomed to the VEC family in 1994 as an Administrative Assistant. She integrated herself in Valley Electrical Consolidated, Inc. until 1997 when she followed her family from Florida to Georgia. Finally settling back in Ohio in 1999, she rejoined the VEC team as Account Receivables Manager, her current position.
Rachel attended Lakeview High School and has broadened her education with time at Youngstown State University. She has also attended the Electrical Management Institute developed by NECA where she has learned to apply her talents to the Electrical Industry.
When not at work Rachel stays busy with her family. She has a daughter, Elizabeth, 17, a senior at Lakeview High School, who participates in Basketball and Band. Her Son Nathan, 8, who is a 3rd grade student at Lakeview, also help fill Rachel's schedule with Tae Kwan Do. When she has time to herself Rachel enjoys boating in Sandusky, scrapbooking and settling down with a book.
