In 2007, VEC read the book "The Toyota Way" as a company. The philosophies of the Toyota Way have inspired the development of several processes as we endeavor to become a Lean Contractor

  • We develop new strategies and procedures to maximize our productivity and efficiency

  • We analyze our Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats
• An ongoing 'Non-Value Added Waste' task list
  • We are constantly 'repairing' tasks, procedures and policies that do not add value to our company
• Process development for the (3) main stages of construction:
  • Estimating and Sales
  • Pre-Construction Planning
  • Project Management
• Creation of a Pre-Fabrication Shop
• Development of a 3-D and B.I.M. Drafting Department
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) allows you to create the finished product electronically prior to construction
  • B.I.M. can alert you of coordination issues and reduces inefficiencies

• Establishment of a 'Quality Assurance Plan'
• Stronger focus on our employees, who are our most important asset
• Recreation of our Company's Vision based on our employees' input
